Cancer February Stars

General:
If February had a sound track, its theme song would be the Queen song 'I want to be free'. As you move into the month you're likely to be tired of life's heavy demands and the extreme focus over recent months on your relationships and your financial situation. Jupiter moved into your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery last month and all you want to do is find the time to enjoy this adventurous new era. Yet that won't really happen until mid month, with the first 2 weeks of the month requiring a lot of focus on your financial and relationship situation. With Mercury, planet of communication and smart thinking, in your relationship sector until the 10th February, there is a need to not only have your relationships on track, but a clear sense of your personal expectations for the coming year. It was a Full Moon in your income sector on the 30th January that brought things on the financial and income fronts to a head, creating a situation where you're moving into February a lot more determined to make things happen. With Mars spending his last month in retrograde motion in your income sector and with Venus leaving your financial sector on the 12th February and the Sun on the 19th February, this is where your focus should be. It's on the 12th February that Venus joins Jupiter in an adventurous part of the chart and the revolution begins.

Love:
February is a transition month as far as your relationships are concerned, winding down from the hype surrounding things at the start of the year. As you move into the new month the Sun and Venus have already left your relationship sector, having done their job of establishing exactly where things stand and where you'd like them to be, with Mercury staying behind to work out how to bridge the gap. In your relationship sector until the 10th February, Mercury is not only focused on opening the communication lines, but on gaining as much understanding from his retrograde phase and everything that has come to your attention over the last few months. Mercury moved into your relationship sector on the 6th December, for what is usually a 3 week visit, but 2 months on he's still here. On the 3rd/4th February Mercury aligns with the North Node, giving you a chance to lock into place your long term relationship objectives, giving you something to aim and strive for. Once Mercury leaves on the 10th February, Pluto and the North Node will keep things on track for the rest of the year.

Money:
Jupiter, planet of luck, may have left your financial sector last month, but things are showing no sign of slowing down and if anything, have become even more intense. Just days after Jupiter left your financial sector the Sun and Venus arrived and it was in the closing days of January that they both moved into opposition with Mars, in retrograde motion in your income sector. This came to a head with a Full Moon in your income sector on the 30th January, which is still reverberating as you move into February. This saw pressure building between your income and financial sectors come to a head, in a way that saw them both vying for your attention at the same time. Yet while there was financial pressure, it's more a case of a cosmic traffic jam, with Mars moving back over the same one lane bridge that the Sun and Venus were trying to move forward on. Each determined to have right of way that created a lot of pressure, but it's pressure that is going to subside much more quickly than it took to build, with a new sense of resolve on both financial and income fronts. With Mars in retrograde motion all month and not due to turn direct until the 11th March, he's on a mission to explore missed opportunities or to gain as much from the past as possible. With Venus leaving your financial sector on the 12th February and the Sun on the 19th February, their aim is to leave you with a clear sense of what you want and where things stand. Mercury's arrival on the 10th February begins the process of developing a game plan.

Business:
As much as you may want to push things this month or to see things happen, the more you can bide your time the better, giving you a  chance to not only get your bearings but to consider your options. It's on the 8th March that Venus will move into your career sector, opening up what would normally be the most important professional period of the year, one that will extend out until the 25th April. I say normally because travelling behind that is an even bigger wave of professional opportunity, bigger than anything you've ever encountered before. Without a crystal ball it's impossible for you to appreciate the scope of the professional opportunities ahead, with a need to trust that they are huge. This makes it important not to get bogged down in the small stuff or to waste valuable mental resources worrying about the future. Spend your time this month charging your batteries, going on field trips and checking whether distant fields really are lined with gold. You won't know what's possible if you don't give yourself permission to take exploratory trips down as many avenues as possible.
