General Monthly for Month Commencing: Wednesday 01 February 2012

  Aries
Mar 21 - Apr 19
February is turning into a real crossover month, with themes that will remain in motion cementing and future themes taking hold. It's on the income, career and work fronts that things settle back this month, just enough for you to maintain your momentum while giving you time to focus more on your personal life or at least find a balance between the two. With Pluto now on his own in your career sector, Jupiter still coming up to speed in your income sector but not coming into his own until early next month and Mars spending his first full month in retrograde motion in your work sector, on all fronts there is no longer the urgency you moved into the year with. At the same time opportunities on all 3 fronts are due to take off over the coming months, giving you a month to pull back and consider your next moves. This is an advantage that your personal life is going to seize, with 3 separate events, all taking place on the 8th February, seeing that happen in one fell swoop. It's on the 8th February that Venus, planet of love returns to your sign, opening the door to new romantic opportunities but also unlocking new doors 6 weeks before your new solar year kicks off. On the same day a Full Moon in your romantic sector will seize the opportunities this creates and Saturn will turn retrograde in your relationship sector, giving you a chance to retrace your steps. What makes the Full Moon on the same day so auspicious is that in Chinese Astrology this is the Marriage Moon, with something very special in the air that day that will colour the rest of the month and beyond.

  Taurus
Apr 20 - May 20
Bit by bit you're going to feel the professional focus fall away, beginning with Neptune's departure from your career sector on the 4th February, followed by Saturn's retrograde turn in your work sector on the 8th February, Mercury's departure from your career sector on the 14th February and the Sun's on the 19th February. Apart from a few months last year your career sector has been continuously active since 1996, yet by the end of the month Saturn will be the last man standing on the professional front and in retrograde motion in your work sector this focus will be more on retracing your steps and working behind the scenes to keep the momentum going. Yet with 16 years of professional momentum behind you there is no danger that you'll run out of steam anytime soon, but you do have a chance to put things on autopilot, allowing you to focus more on life outside your professional game. When Neptune, Mercury and the Sun leave your career sector they'll all return to your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, where at the start of the month Venus is already bringing a desire to have some fun, circulate and get out from behind an all work and no play mode. With Venus returning to your sign early next month, teaming up with Jupiter to bring things home, there will be a lot of new doors opening over the coming months. Take your time this month to ease back across the board, taking time to get your bearings.

  Gemini
May 21 - Jun 21
You began the year with very little professional focus, with the only planet active in either of your professional houses being Chiron, acting more as a caretaker in your career sector. That changes dramatically this month and as you begin the month with Venus already in your career sector, your professional desires and expectations are already kicking in. It's over the course of the month that a powerful new professional era will take roots, one that won't run its course until 2026. This begins with Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies' return to your career sector on the 4th February, where he'll remain for the next 14 years. Venus will leave your career sector on the 8th February but with Mercury returning on the 14th February and the Sun on the 19th February it won't be long before you're moving into a more active phase. Yet if you think you're going to get away with letting life become all work and no play you'll have a fight on your hands, from both Venus and Saturn. On the 8th February Venus will return to a social and serendipitous part of your chart and on the same day Saturn will turn retrograde in a romantic, playful and creative part of your chart, giving you a chance to learn from the past. But the real challenge will come from Mars, who spending his first full month in retrograde motion in your home and family sector is going to put just enough pressure on the planets moving through your career sector to remind you of the importance of having the right work/life balance.

  Cancer
Jun 22 - Jul 22
February is destined to be such a diverse mix of influences that it's going to be enough to bring a sense that you've finally come alive, providing enough momentum across the board, without letting you become too bogged down in any one area. The first 3 weeks of the month are vital and defining weeks on the financial front, but at the same time new doors are opening on the career front. Yet try to keep your professional hat on 24/7, as you've done in the past and you'll find that you can't, for there is a real spirit of adventure and a sense of wanderlust blowing through your chart to make that near impossible. This creates just the right mix, with life suddenly revealing how many options you have. It's Neptune's departure from your financial sector on the 4th February, followed by Mercury's on the 14th February and the Sun's on the 19th February that will leave you with no planetary influence here, something that apart from a few months last year you haven't experienced for 16 years. Before leaving all three will be working to define your financial expectations and game plan, leaving you with a legacy to continue with. While the Sun, Mercury and Neptune move onto your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery, opening up some exciting new doors, Venus is opening new doors on the professional front, with her return to your career sector on the 8th February. It's a Full Moon in your income sector on the same day that is likely to get things off to a fairly dramatic and motivated start.

  Leo
Jul 23 - Aug 22
There are three major themes vying for your attention this month and none of them are the themes that are really dominating the first half of the year, giving you a chance to diversify. The first half of the year is dominated by a triad of forces in your income, work and career sectors, but they are taking a break this month as they all readjust their focus, ready to come back even stronger next month and over the coming months. With Pluto spending his first full month on his own in your work sector, Jupiter his last full month on his own in your career sector and still coming up to speed and Mars his first full month in retrograde motion in your income sector, they need time to regroup. This will not so much put things on hold on the income, work and career fronts but brings no need to push things, as all 3 will take off again from next month. This gives you time to focus on your relationships, your financial situation and on embracing a sense of adventure, blowing away some cobwebs before it's once more back to business next month. In the early days of the month Neptune is wrapping up a journey through your relationship sector that began back in 1998 and while he leaves on the 4th February, Mercury will stay on until the 14th February and the Sun until the 19th February to bring things home and to make sure your relationships are on the same track. At the same time new doors are opening on the financial front, just as Mars is opening the door to second chances on the income front. A Full Moon in your sign on the 8th February marks the halfway point in your current solar year and a brings chance to take stock.

  Virgo
Aug 23 - Sep 22
There has been a lot of focus on your work situation last month and that will continue this month and with some major developments on the career front from early April onwards, what you really need is a break in between and that's exactly what you'll get. The reason why there is so much focus on your work situation at the moment is that Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies is wrapping up a chapter that began back in January 1998, of defining your expectations for the future and giving you a sense of what you're aiming for. Neptune leaves your work sector on the 4th February, with the Sun and Mercury staying behind to wrap things up, tie up loose ends and put things on the track you want them to continue on. With Mercury leaving your work sector on the 14th February and the Sun on the 19th February you'll have a chance to let things settle before new doors open on the career front in April. This creates an opportunity to focus on your relationships and your financial situation, two major themes this month. Venus, planet of love begins the month in your relationship sector, evoking your relationship desires and expectations, staying on long enough to welcome Neptune on the 4th February, with the Sun and Mercury returning later in the month to cement the relationship focus. On the 8th February, Venus will swap her 'planet of love' hat for her 'planet of money' hat, returning to your financial sector on the same day that Saturn turns retrograde in your income sector, with new and old doors opening on the same day. With Mars spending his first full month in retrograde motion in your sign, there is a real need to pace yourself in a month that has it all.

  Libra
Sep 23 - Oct 23
While there are many themes developing this month, especially when it comes to defining your personal, romantic and creative objectives and new doors opening on the work and relationship fronts, February is a month that is dominated by a chance to come back to your own truth. Since Saturn returned to your sign in October 2009 you have been creating a solid foundation for the start of a new 3 decade long Saturn cycle, but until he leaves your sign in October this is very much a work in progress. On the 8th February Saturn will begin his third and last retrograde phase while in your sign, giving you a chance to get down to the basics, to the core of what makes things real and authentic for you and one last chance to learn from the past. The 8th February is also the day that Venus, planet of love returns to your relationship sector, kicking of the 3 most important relationship months of the year. This comes just 4 days after Neptune is due to leave your romantic sector, on the 4th February and while the Sun and Mercury are tying up loose ends, with Mercury not leaving until the 14th February and the Sun until the 19th February. In this time you're in the process of defining your personal, romantic and creative expectations and all things that come from the heart. Yet throughout the month there are growing and escalating developments on the work front, that will eventually outlive and outlast anything else happening this month or even throughout the year, as you open the door to a chapter that will take until 2026 to fully evolve.

  Scorpio
Oct 24 - Nov 21
January saw a lot of focus on your home and family situation, as is normally the case at this time of year, though it did kick in much earlier this year, starting in late December rather than late January. This is the time of year that the faster moving planets catch up with Neptune, who is working on your long term expectations. What normally happens is that the Sun, Mercury and Venus move on, leaving Neptune behind to carry on, leaving you with a mission to continue to work towards. But this year it's Neptune who moves on, leaving your home and family sector on the 4th February, leaving the Sun and Mercury behind to tie up loose ends. By the end of the month there'll be no planetary activity here and you need to have things on the track you want them to continue on. Meanwhile there are some really good developments this month on the work and personal fronts, bringing a need to find a balance between work and play, not just for this month but for at least the next 3 months and beyond if you can. For while Venus' return to your work sector on the 8th February, with a Full Moon in your career sector on the same day giving things a push start, will open the door to the busiest and most important 3 months of the year for work matters, it comes in a month where there's a lot of focus on all things romantic, creative and playful. Finding a balance between work and play will help ward off any potential burnout issues, with pacing yourself and guarding against all work and no play essential.

  Sagittarius
Nov 22 - Dec 21
At the same time that Pluto is spending his first full month on his own in your income sector, after Mercury's departure late last month, Mars is spending his first full month in retrograde motion in your career sector and Jupiter his last full month on his own in your work sector. With Pluto, Jupiter and Mars working as a team this gives each of them a month to let things settle, before they come together next month to ride Jupiter's coattails, as some of the best conditions of the work front this year open up, from early next month. This gives you a month where you're able to step back from an extreme focus on your work, career and income situations, before picking it up again next month, making time to focus on your personal life. You're not in danger of losing your professional edge or any income advantage, but you have a chance to let them idle along, knowing that each will benefit from a 'hands off' approach this month, giving things a chance to settle and you a chance to get your bearings. In the meantime, this gives you a chance to focus on having a life, with the two very dominant areas of your chart this month being planetary activity on the home front and in a romantic, creative and playful part of your chart. This gives you a chance to find a balance between work and play and also to get things running smoothly on the home front and within your lifestyle, with new doors opening this month and a new chapter kicking off. A New Moon in your home and family sector on the 22nd February creates an opportunity for new beginnings.

  Capricorn
Dec 22 - Jan 19
There is always a lot of focus on your income situation at this time of year, but it's more a case of an opportunity to update things, get them up to speed and on track, knowing you have the ongoing planetary support to keep things in motion. That's because Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies has been in your income sector since January 1998 with the Sun, Mercury and Venus moving through to get things moving each yar. You begin the month with the Sun, Mercury and Neptune in your income sector, with Venus already been and gone but her desires and expectations still having a big impact. This year however it's not the Sun and Mercury moving on, leaving Neptune to carry on, but the other way round. On the 4th February, Neptune will leave your income sector, leaving the Sun and Mercury to wrap things up and as he won't return in your lifetime, there really is a need to put everything on the line. This is less about income opportunities you're able to seize now and more about setting your expectations for the future. A Full Moon in your financial sector on the 8th February will bring things on both the financial and income fronts to a head, providing some valuable wake up calls and a push start. Yet this is not a month that is all about the money and by the end of the month there'll be no planetary activity in either of your money houses. This is when you'll get a chance to focus on the things in life that are free, at the same time that you'll get a chance to retrace your steps on the professional front and new opportunities open up on the home and family front.

  Aquarius
Jan 20 - Feb 18
Whether you are a January or a February born Aquarian this is your month, with the Sun always spending the first 3 weeks of February in your sign. Regardless of when your actual birthday falls, until the Sun leaves your sign on the 19th February, defining your expectations and intentions for the coming year is a work in progress. This creates an opportunity for a fresh start, but with Venus already been and gone from your sign and the New Moon that creates the tailwind you need having fallen last month, there are no excuses for why you shouldn't be walking the talk already. As well as giving you a chance to begin a new solar year and seize the opportunity this presents for a fresh start, this gives the Sun a chance to touch base with Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies, who has been in your sign since January 1998. This gives you a chance to marry your short term objectives for the coming year with your long term objectives, making sure that you're on track to fulfil and live your dreams. But on the 4th February Neptune will leave your sign and as he won't return in your lifetime, this year your birthday month is all about cementing both your short and long term objectives. Mercury will remain in your sign until the 14th February to help you develop a game plan. During the course of the month Neptune, Mercury and the Sun will all follow Venus into your income sector, where some major new doors are opening, at a time when Mars is opening the door to second chances on the financial front. Yet at the same time Saturn is reminding you to also focus on the things in life that are free, opening the door to an old sense of adventure and challenging your excuses.

  Pisces
Feb 19 - Mar 20
The Sun won't return to your sign until the 19th February, which is when your birthday month and a brand new solar year will begin, with its promise of new beginnings as new doors open. Yet while this is still 3 weeks away when you move into the new month, it's already likely to seem that your birthday month has begun, with your heart already engaged. That's because Venus is already in your sign and with Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies and your ruling planet returning on the 4th February and Mercury on the 14th February, your mind and your imagination will become engaged before your birthday month begins as well. This is a real home coming for Neptune and while he spent 4 months in your sign last year, this time he's back for the long term, not leaving until 2026. You will continue the process of opening new doors throughout the month and beyond but from the 8th February Venus will shift focus, returning to your income sector for what is destined to be the 3 most lucrative months of the year. Venus returns to your income sector on the same day that this month's Full Moon will fall in your work sector, getting things off to a powerful start. However the 8th February is also the same day that Saturn turns retrograde in your financial sector, setting the scene for an opposition with Venus early next month. This brings a need to keep a balance between your income and financial objectives and to keep your eye on the road ahead and behind. This comes just as you're likely to find that personal and/or relationship pressure becomes a lot more manageable, with the bar being raised on both fronts.
